The Transparent Shades are simultaneously painting and sculpture. Existing in a state of functional ambiguity, the work can be displayed on the floors, walls, hung as room dividers, and bent into corners, or simple carried in a handbag and used as a scarf. By occupying the space in variation, the painting hybrids on silk present a state of flux.
