I create through juxtaposition—bringing materials, perspectives, and processes into conversation with one another. Painting becomes a threshold: a distant, aerial view of shifting landscapes, while sculpture moves toward the body, occupying physical space and inviting embodied experience. Innovation emerges through the transformation between two and three dimensions, where image becomes object, surface becomes structure, and materials reveal new possibilities through their relationships.

This section presents selected paintings and sculptures from 2020 to the present, tracing an ongoing exploration of how material experimentation evolves into spatial and dimensional forms.

Cupcake in Pink
Paint, earth, thread on yarn role
12 x 12 x 9 inches
In 2022, I collected cotton twill roles from an old canvas factory in California. Instead of weaving canvases, I applied paint and other collected materials from my art production incorporating the sand and earth from the ground. The sculptures are created on the land and almost baked by the sun of the desert, making it appear as it can be a ceramic sculpture.
